Must I demonstrate proficiency on both the piano and the guitar?

Students who complete the one-year certificate must complete one of the proficiencies. Students who complete the advanced two-year certificate or Associate of Arts in Praise and Worship must complete both proficiencies.

How many times can I take the proficiency?

You may take any of the five sections multiple times until you pass all five.

Can I take the exams post my coursework?

Yes, within a reasonable amount of time. A student may need to retest previously passed sections if the allotted time is greater than a few months.

Do I have to retake a test if I pass only some sections?

Students who pass some sections of the exam will not need to retest those sections.

I've taken the exam multiple times and still haven't passed. What do I do?

Students who show a lack of progress might be asked to enroll in private lessons in addition to regular coursework.
